Analysing Individual Businesses

Our Sustainability Radar helps us to analyse how individual companies respond to the most important Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues. We observe three types of responses. Some companies barely address ESG issues and therefore are exposed to a range of risks including compliance and reputation issues (worst practices).

Other companies develop robust management approaches for dealing with key issues and related risks (best practices). Finally, there are “product strategic” companies which provide products and services which help to solve specific issues.

For example, the products of a solar company help to tackle the climate change issue.
