Maritta Koch-Weser is CEO of The Global Exchange of Social Investment (GEXSI), promoting private sector development investment and providing investors with quality assurance in the selection and implementation of projects, programs and partnerships.

Dr.Koch-Weser is also Founder and President of Earth3000, an international non-profit organization based in Germany. Earth3000 supports innovations in governance for environment and development.

Dr. Koch-Weser has worked for almost 20 years at the World Bank, where she was closely associated with the build-up of environmental and social programs and policies.

Dr. Koch-Weser‘s field experience in international development spans the regions of Latin America, South & East Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, parts of the Middle East, Eastern Europe and countries of the Former Soviet Union.
